# SCR Basic

Whether you are migrating from a SCR Premium plan or your SCR Premium Trial is expiring, the ID wallet associated with your organisation is being hosted and managed by us on a Cloud Wallet server. Please read on to see the steps that need to be taken in order for you to host the ID wallet on your own infrastructure.

## Hardware infrastructure

To use SCR Basic, the ID Wallet software must be installed on a dedicated server within the customer's own infrastructure.

**Important Installation Requirements:**

* **Do not** install the ID Wallet on a personal device, such as a laptop or desktop computer.
* Installation should only be performed by personnel with relevant technical and system administration experience.

### Minimum Specifications for Windows

* Supported OS: Windows Server (Tested on 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019)
* CPU: 1 vCPU
* RAM: 8 GB
* Storage: 80 GB SSD

### Minimum Specifications for Linux

* Supported OS: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS or later / CentOS 8.1 or later
* CPU: 1 vCPU
* RAM: 8 GB
* Storage: 80 GB SSD

## How to install the ID Wallet

**Alternative Solution:**

If you cannot host the wallet on an internal server, we highly recommend subscribing to SCR Premium. This offers a fast alternative while your internal infrastructure is being prepared. By choosing SCR Premium, you gain instant access to SCR without any installation required, as the wallet is fully hosted on our secure cloud servers. ## ID wallet maintenance

The ID Wallet must be continuously running to maintain uninterrupted access to SCR.

If you encounter the error message shown below and cannot access SCR, it indicates that your wallet is currently offline. Please ensure the server is running and restart the service. Access will be restored immediately once the ID wallet is back online.
